VisibleHour

Sensory & Focus · 01 Frequently asked.

i.What does VisibleHour do?

VisibleHour is a 24-hour dial that drains as your day passes. The amber arc shrinks visibly through the day. You can also start focused sessions — 15, 25/5 Pomodoro, 30, 60, or 90 minutes. A session pie at the dial center drains as time passes. An optional quiet wrist tap at a configurable interval (60, 90, or 120 minutes) reminds you to notice the time.

ii.Who is VisibleHour for?

People whose internal sense of time isn't always reliable. If 30 minutes feels like 5, or you've ever lost a whole afternoon to deep focus and been surprised it was gone, VisibleHour is for you. The audience overlaps significantly with ADHD, autism, and executive-function differences, but the app makes no medical claims and isn't a clinical tool.

iii.How do I start a session?

Tap any chip below the dial: 15, 25/5, 30, 60, or 90 minutes. The session pie appears at the dial center and drains. To stop, tap the stop. button. To zoom into a Time Timer face for the active session, tap the pie at the center.

iv.What is the 25/5 Pomodoro chip?

A 30-minute session split into 25 minutes of work and 5 minutes of break. The session pie shows two amber tones — saturated for the work phase, softer for the break. A Break. notification fires at the work-to-break transition; That's the time. fires when the full 30 minutes has elapsed.

v.How does the awareness tap work?

Set an interval in Settings: 30, 60, 90, 120 minutes, or Off. During your day window, a quiet notification fires at each interval — Notice the time. On Apple Watch, this is a wrist haptic plus the notification. On iPhone (when the Watch isn't worn or paired), it's a notification with a custom subtle plunk sound. The Watch is the canonical awareness-tap surface across all platforms.

Awareness taps fire only between your day-start and evening-end (with the optional morning period extending the start earlier when enabled). They are time-sensitive notifications, which means they will sound during Do Not Disturb and Sleep Focus by default — that's intentional, since the whole point is to interrupt time-loss reliably. If you want a quiet evening, narrow your day window so taps stop earlier. Per-app overrides for Focus modes are available in iOS Settings → Focus.

vi.Does it sync between my devices?

Yes. If you're signed into iCloud, your active session, day schedule, awareness interval, and appearance preference sync sub-second across iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Apple Vision Pro through your private iCloud database. Start a session on Vision Pro and the Live Activity drops into your iPhone Dynamic Island within a second; stop on the Watch and every screen clears together.

vii.How does the calendar integration work?

Optional. Toggle "show next event" in Settings. After granting Calendar access, today's events appear as thin ink arcs on the dial. Tap an event arc to surface its title and start time briefly at the bottom of the screen. Calendar events are read locally on each device — they never sync to the cloud or transmit anywhere.

viii.Where do widgets appear?

Lock Screen widgets (circular dial, rectangular linear bar, inline text) and Home Screen widgets (small dial, medium linear bar, large dial-with-labels) on iPhone and iPad. Native complications on Apple Watch in four families — circular, corner, rectangular, and inline. Long-press any widget surface to add or customize. The widget is the experience for most of the time — designed to be glanceable without opening the app.

ix.Why is there no immersive mode on Vision Pro?

By design. VisibleHour is a spatial widget that coexists with your other Vision Pro work — Mail, virtual MacBook display, Safari, etc. Earlier prototyping showed that a session-takeover immersive environment fights how Vision Pro is actually used for focused work. Instead, VisibleHour ships as a windowed spatial app with native ornaments, hover effects, and a choice of warm canvas or frosted glass appearance.

x.Is there a free trial? Subscriptions? In-app purchases?

$4.99 one-time. Universal Purchase across iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Apple Vision Pro. Buy once, runs everywhere, forever. No subscriptions. No in-app purchases. No free trial. Future updates are included for the lifetime of the app.

xi.How do I customize my day window?

In Settings, set your Day start, Day end, and Evening end times. The dial draws three period segments: Day (warm amber, primary work hours), Evening (cooler amber, post-work wind-down), and an optional Morning routine (lighter amber, dawn-leaning). Settings sync across your devices via iCloud.

xii.Where is my data?

Local to each device + your private iCloud container. sthreelabs has no servers and cannot read your data. Apple's iCloud is end-to-end encrypted. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

xiii. How do I report a bug or request a feature?

Email [email protected]. Brief is fine — a sentence or two of what happened plus your iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, or visionOS version is plenty.
