i.The short version
VisibleHour does not collect any personal information about you. There is no analytics, no third-party SDKs, no ads, no telemetry. Calendar events are read locally on each device and never leave it. Your active session, schedule, awareness interval, and appearance preference sync between your own devices through your private iCloud database, encrypted by Apple. sthreelabs can't see any of it.
ii.What stays on your device
- Calendar events. If you grant Calendar access, today's events are read from the system Calendar on each device. They're displayed as small ink arcs on the dial. They are never transmitted off the device. They never sync via iCloud. Each device shows its own local Calendar; events do not cross devices.
- Notification history. Awareness taps and session-end notifications stay in the local Notification Center.
- Local app preferences. Display preferences, last-used session lengths, and similar are local-only.
iii. What syncs through your private iCloud
If you're signed into iCloud and have iCloud enabled for VisibleHour, the following state syncs across your devices through Apple's CloudKit private database (encrypted, end-to-end, Apple-managed):
- The active session. If a session is running, its start time, duration, and Pomodoro pattern. Cleared when the session ends or is stopped.
- Your day schedule. The hours of your waking day (e.g., 9 AM to 10 PM) and any period transitions (Day, Evening, optional Morning).
- Your awareness interval. 30 / 60 / 90 / 120 minutes or Off.
- Appearance preference. Warm canvas or frosted glass on Apple Vision Pro.
This data is stored only in your private iCloud container. sthreelabs has no servers, no analytics, and no way to read or access this data. Apple cannot decrypt it either — it's end-to-end encrypted under your iCloud keychain.
iv.Third-party services
- Apple iCloud (CloudKit private database) — your private container, end-to-end encrypted by Apple. apple.com/legal/privacy
- Apple EventKit — system Calendar access, opt-in, read locally per device. Apple-managed.
- Apple Push Notification service — used by CloudKit for sub-second cross-device sync. Apple-managed.
No other third-party services are integrated. No analytics SDKs (no Google Analytics, no Firebase, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude, no Segment). No advertising SDKs. No crash-reporting services. The only crashes ever surfaced are through Apple's built-in App Store Connect crash reporting, which is anonymous and Apple-managed.
v.What the app does NOT do
- No analytics, no telemetry, no tracking SDKs.
- No advertising identifiers.
- No location, microphone, camera, contacts, photos, or health-data access.
- No account registration. There is no VisibleHour account, no login, no sign-in.
- No cross-app fingerprinting.

- No social features. No sharing. No public feed.
vi.Children's privacy
The app is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.
vii.Deleting your data
To remove everything: delete the app on every device, then delete the CloudKit container's data via Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → VisibleHour → Delete Data. Calendar permission can be revoked at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars.
