Privacy Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-09-12
i.The short version
Tallies does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. All your data stays on your device and in your private iCloud account.
ii.What data Tallies stores
Tallies stores the journals, items, and tally marks you create. This data lives in two places:
- Your device. The app keeps a local copy of your data so it works offline.
- Your private iCloud account (Apple devices only). If you are signed into iCloud and have iCloud Drive enabled, Apple syncs your data across your Apple devices. This data is encrypted by Apple and is accessible only to you. sthreelabs (the developer) cannot read your data.
- On Android, the device and nothing else. The Android app has no sync, no account and no server: your journals, items and marks stay on that phone or tablet. Android's own backup may include them when you set up a new device, under your Google account and outside our reach.
iii. What data Tallies does NOT collect
- No analytics or usage tracking.
- No crash reporting that includes personal data.
- No advertising identifiers.
- No location data.
- No contacts, photos, or other device data.
- No account registration. There is no Tallies account or login.
iv.Third-party services
Tallies uses only Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) to sync your data across your devices. No other third-party services are used.
On Android, Tallies is free with a one-time purchase to unlock unlimited journals and items. That purchase goes through Google Play's billing service, which tells the app only whether the unlock has been bought. sthreelabs never sees your Google account, your payment details or your purchase history. Nothing else third-party is used: no analytics, no ads, no crash-reporting SDK.
For Apple's privacy policy regarding iCloud, see apple.com/legal/privacy.
v.Children's privacy
Tallies is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.
vi.Deleting your data
To delete your data, delete the Tallies app from your device. To remove the iCloud copy as well, after deleting the app go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Tallies → Delete Data.
On Android, uninstalling the app removes everything it stored, since none of it leaves the device. A purchased unlock stays attached to your Google account, so reinstalling restores it without paying again.
vii.Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in any material way, the "Last updated" date above will change and the new policy will be posted on this page.
